The Balochistan Prison Department is functioning under the administrative control of Home Department. The Inspector General of Prisons is Head of the Department at Provincial level and is assisted by four Deputy Inspector General. The Prisons administration has been decentralized into two East and South regions. A Deputy Inspector General of prisons commands and monitors each region.
