Physical Training Center, Mach
Physical Training Center, Mach is a Training Center for the employees of Balochistan Prisons Department. The Primary function of PTC, Mach is to achieve the mission and objectives of Balochistan Prison Department by imparting training, based on customized curriculum and modern techniques that are devised on the bases of rigorous Training Needs Analysis. PTC is committed to uphold training traditions to fin-tune the potential of our human resource by imparting requisite knowledge and best practices, polishing their skills and inculcating positive attitude. PTC training tools are designed to strengthen integrity, professionalism and efficient service delivery. PTC offers Pre-service, Mid-Service and Promotional Courses to Prisons Employees. PTC is also conducting researches for reform of the Prison Staff and Prisoners.
Objectives of the PTC The objectives of the Institute are:-
The aim & objective of the institute is to train and educate junior officers/upper and lower subordinates of the Prisons Department and Reclamation Department in a bid to improve their professional mental, legal and physical skills, necessary for their promotions to the higher
To assess the training needs of the Prison & Reclamation Department, to incorporate the prison reforms and adjust the training policies, annual training calendar, syllabus /Modules of different courses and Programs of the Institute.
To conduct research on allied subjects, publish booklets / leaflets and issue approved magazine on prison system, laws / Rules / regulations on institutional / community treatment of offenders in Balochistan.
To train and educate Prison Executive Officers, Warder Establishment and other staff of the Prison Department and staff of the Reclamation Department.
To Motivate and disciplined the Prison and Reclamation personals in Line with the penal policies of the Government of Balochistan and Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Institutional and community treatment programs for offenders.
To inculcate the officers and staff with the emerging concepts of corrective, reformative and rehabilitative re-socialization of convicts as useful citizens of society within our own social-cultural context and national aspirations.
Besides teaching trainees the subjects which deal with laws, Rules and regulations , on day to day administration of prisons and Reclamation, also to teach Syllabus / Module on various courses including Islamyat/Ethics, Social Sciences , Information Technology, Factory management., Office procedures, Secretarial practices, agriculture, First Aid / Health Hygiene for each Course which may be amended from time to time.
Under take research work in prison management / administration, prison security system, prison staff and all other related fields pertaining to prison / prisoners in order to recommend change and to update/ modify the system / method.
To arrange, organize and compile important research works carried out in the Institute and publish them for the benefits of prison and all other linked department and their staff.
Collect, collate, update and maintain data regarding prisons and prisoners to provide inputs for planning, decision making and problem solving.
Arrange and hold seminars, workshops, expert discussion with the collaboration of National / International Organizations/ NGOs etc.
Produce and publish material on prison administration, Balochistan and Pakistan Prison rules, Laws, Criminal Psychology and other related subjects for the benefits of all related departments.
